FOUNDER AND ORGANIZER

Cheryl’s passion for plein air work led her to creating this group and sharing the joy of creating art outdoors while building a community of like-minded artists.. Cheryl’s work is abstract with a surrealist flair.

Chilan Lau, a former financial journalist and pastor, began painting full time after 50 to express emotions and connect with nature. She enjoys painting outdoors, blending traditional and abstract styles. Her work has been exhibited in Ontario and collected in Canada and China.

Jacquie has been happily creating art since childhood and went on to obtain a Fine Arts diploma from the Ontario College of Arts and Design. Her passion is for  Plein Air painting.  She loves the thrill of capturing the feeling of the moment while all her senses are intensely alert.

Rob has enjoyed creating art as long as he can remember. He began a plein air practice in 2022 to help him understand what he sees in the real world and to bring that understanding into his studio work. Rob invites you to follow his journey to becoming a great artist.

Tracy is in her 2nd year of membership with HOPAA. She recently moved to Ontario from Nova Scotia and hopes to forge new friendships in our community.

Andrea Brenda Thompson is a visual artist who creates with multiple mediums and subjects ranging from landscapes to animals and portraits. She is active in teaching students and joining plein air festivals. Her artwork can be viewed and purchased on her website.
