





Garden Plein Air Painting with Jacquie Herron
Have you ever felt overwhelmed by all the information that nature presents when out Plein air painting? Jacquie will share some of her essential tips and preparation for painting including how to simplify and zoom in on a subject and let nature inspire your creativity. Jacquie’s workshops sell out quick so be sure to secure your spot!
In this 2hr workshop participants will receive group and individual instruction that will increase your plein air art making skills and improve your confidence! Created especially for the beginner plein air artist Jacquie will demonstrate choosing a subject and preparing to paint in watercolours.
Some Artists materials are provided. You can also bring your own supplies.

ABOUT YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Jacquie Herron has had a passion for creating art since childhood. Her art education consists of a diploma in Fine Arts from the Ontario College of Arts and Design and painting courses in the summer from Sir Sanford Fleming School of Art in Haliburton. Since retiring from a career in teaching, she has more time to devote to painting.
In the past 15 years Jacquie has begun to find her style and medium as a visual artist. She fell in love with watercolours! Jacquie loves the spontaneity and immediacy of this medium.
WORKSHOP DETAILS
When: Saturday June 7th, 2025 - 10:30am to 12:30pm
Where: Dundurn Castle, 610 York Blvd, Hamilton - meet at the Kitchen Garden Gate
This is a plein air event and will run rain or shine. In the case of extreme weather we will move to a sheltered location, TBD. There are no refunds.
